For Ronan Higgins, real estate isn’t just a career, it’s part of his DNA. Growing up, he watched his father, who came to the U.S. from Ireland over 35 years ago, build a successful career as a Realtor. From being “dragged to showings” as a kid to listening in on calls and seeing firsthand how his dad connected with clients, Ronan was immersed in the world of real estate long before it became his own path.

“I always thought it seemed like a cool job,” Ronan says. “But what really stood out to me was how flexible it was. My parents never missed a soccer game, Irish dance competition, or school event. The fact that my dad could take off work at 3 p.m. to be there for us made a lasting impression.”

That balance between hard work and family has shaped the kind of Realtor Ronan is today; dedicated, approachable, and deeply committed to helping others find not just a house, but a home.

His first taste of real estate came at just 16 or 17, when he showed a house on behalf of his dad. “I didn’t know what I was doing,” he laughs, “but I researched everything I could about the home, probably more than I needed to. The clients loved it and made an offer and my dad even slipped me a few extra bucks for a job well done. That moment sparked something in me. I knew this was worth pursuing.”

Proudest Moment in Real Estate

While Ronan admits there have been many meaningful milestones, one stands out, helping close family friends find their dream home in Conshohocken.

“It was the hardest I’ve ever had to work in my career,” he recalls. “They were a young family with a tight budget in a really competitive market. We saw over 40 houses and had six offers rejected. It was defeating at times, but I wasn’t going to stop until we found the right one.”

Ronan went the extra mile, sending letters to homeowners, calling expired listings, and jumping on every opportunity as soon as something new hit the market. Finally, after months of persistence, they landed the perfect home.

“We beat out seven other offers, including two cash buyers and three that were higher in price,” he says. “The listing agent knew me and my dad, which helped, but what sealed the deal were small details. We offered to cover the seller’s transfer tax and included a clause allowing them to leave unwanted items in the basement. Those little things showed that we were serious and accommodating.”

Helping his friends move into their new home, with their one-year-old in tow, was a defining moment. “It was one of those times that reminded me why I do what I do,” he says.

A Day in the Life of Ronan Higgins

Ronan’s days are as varied as the clients he serves. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays start early — 6 a.m. gym sessions followed by meditation, breakfast, and a mix of research and admin work. “Meditation is essential for me,” he says. “It helps me start the day with a clear mind.”

His mornings are dedicated to running property searches, following up with clients, and handling marketing, from online ads to newsletters to neighborhood outreach. Afternoons and evenings are when things really pick up, with showings, meetings, and networking events.

“I work around my clients’ schedules, so a lot of showings start after 5:30 or 6,” he explains. “If I have a lighter afternoon, I’ll film a video. I make goofy, creative real estate videos that take a few hours to plan and edit.”

Outside of real estate, Ronan’s creativity extends to music and community. He plays gigs, coaches soccer, and stays involved locally all of which are a reflection of his belief that success is about balance and connection. “Life is busy, but it’s all great stuff,” he says.

“The best way people can support me,” he says, “is by referring friends or family who are thinking about buying or selling. We’re a family business built on trust and referrals and we treat our clients like family, too.”

Inspiration and Philosophy

Ronan draws inspiration from companies that blend business with purpose. TOMS Shoes stands out for its one-for-one giving model, a perfect example of how doing good can also build a strong brand. “I was raised in a very charitable family,” Ronan shares. “We host a golf outing every year for my little sister and Cerebral Palsy charities, so giving back is really important to me. I’d love to tie that into my real estate business someday.”

He also admires Raising Cane’s founder, Todd Graves, for his hands-on leadership and focused business model. “He shows up, connects with his team, and sticks to what he does best. That’s something I try to apply to my own work, focus on your strengths, master your craft, and be present for the people around you.”

The Bottom Line

For Ronan Higgins, real estate is about more than transactions, it’s about relationships, integrity, and community. Whether he’s helping a young family land their first home or creating videos that make people smile, Ronan brings heart, humor, and hustle to everything he does.

As he puts it best:

“If you know us, you know we’re good people and that’s what real estate should be about.”
