For Felicia, the founder of Wildflower Balloons, creativity has always bloomed from a place of love. What began as a way to celebrate her own children’s birthdays and milestones has grown into something much more, a business rooted in joy, community, and compassion.

“It started with celebrating my own children. Their birthdays, milestones, and all the little moments in between,” Felicia shares. “Creating meaningful, joy-filled experiences for them sparked something in me. What began as a personal expression of love turned into a way to help others feel just as celebrated and cherished.”
From whimsical balloon arches to custom event installations, Wildflower Balloons has become a local favorite for bringing color and creativity to life’s most memorable moments and it’s all done with purpose.
A Business with Heart
One of Felicia’s proudest accomplishments has been launching the Wildflower Balloons Birthday Club, a community initiative that gives back in the sweetest way. Each month, one local family is chosen to receive a complimentary birthday celebration, made possible through partnerships with other local businesses.
“It’s our way of spreading joy and making sure every family feels celebrated,” Felicia says.
But her generosity doesn’t stop there. When clients choose not to keep their balloon installations after events, Wildflower Balloons finds them new homes, donating them to local families, schools, and organizations to extend their life and reduce waste.
“It’s such a wonderful way to share joy and kindness while keeping sustainability in mind. Seeing clients take part in that generosity means the world to me.”
This spirit of giving reflects the heart of Wildflower Balloons, a brand built not just on beauty, but on community connection.

A Day in the Life of a Balloon Artist
Behind the bright, joyful displays is a schedule that’s equal parts artistry and hustle. Felicia starts her mornings like many moms, getting her three kids ready for the day. Once her youngest is home, the business side begins: sending invoices, designing mock-ups, prepping materials, and inflating hundreds of balloons in preparation for busy weekends.
Weekends are filled with installations, deliveries, and creative coordination, transforming ordinary spaces into something magical. Amid the whirlwind, she still makes time for soccer games and family dinners, always grounding her business in what matters most.
“It’s a busy, fulfilling balance of artistry, entrepreneurship, and motherhood and I wouldn’t have it any other way,” she says.
Finding Inspiration and Giving Back
Felicia’s work is deeply inspired by her mother, who owned The Crab Cake Company in Middletown, Delaware. Her mom’s compassion and quiet generosity left an indelible mark. During the pandemic, Felicia’s mother delivered meals to hospital staff without seeking recognition. When Felicia suggested sharing it online, her mother replied, “Please don’t post that. We’re not doing it for attention, we’re doing it because people need help." That moment became the foundation for how Felicia runs her business today.
“It’s one of the reasons I started the Wildflower Balloons Birthday Club. I wanted to create something rooted in kindness, compassion, and giving back, just like she did,” Felicia shares.
Though her mother passed away in 2021 after a courageous battle with triple-negative breast cancer, Felicia carries her legacy forward in every balloon she ties and every smile she inspires.
“She never got to see me as a business owner,” Felicia says, “but I think she would be proud to know her strength and generosity continue to guide everything I do.”
